Governor General of Canada to Welcome the President of the French Republic in Banff and Ottawa
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/30/14 -- Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will welcome His Excellency Francois Hollande, President of the French Republic, during his State visit to Canada, from November 2 to 4, 2014.
The visit will begin in Banff, Alberta, on November 2, 2014, where the Governor General will host an official welcoming ceremony and a State luncheon in honour of President Hollande. Prime Minister Stephen Harper will be in attendance.
On November 3, President Hollande will visit Rideau Hall, the official residence of the governor general of Canada, in Ottawa, Ontario. There, he will meet Their Excellencies, attend a working breakfast to discuss education, innovation and research collaboration, present the Legion of Honour to Canadian veterans of the Second World War, and plant a commemorative tree in honour of his visit.
The detailed itinerary of the events taking place in Banff and at Rideau Hall can be found below. The events taking place in Banff are indicated in Mountain Standard Time (MST). Those taking place at Rideau Hall are indicated in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR EVENTS IN BANFF

They are asked to arrive by 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014, in the Princess Room, located in the Executive Boardroom area of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, to be accredited.
