RE2, Inc. Receives Grant From the Discovered in PA - Developed in PA Initiative
(firmenpresse) - PITTSBURGH, PA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/22/14 -- RE2, Inc., a leading developer of robotic manipulator arms, announced today that it has received a $400,000 grant from the state of Pennsylvania. RE2 will use the funds to conduct a Design for Manufacturing Project. This program is funded (in part) by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development''s Discovered in PA, Developed in PA program.
The Discovered in PA, Developed in PA program is devoted to increasing economic opportunity in the commonwealth by seeding innovative ideas that promote entrepreneurship, technology transfer, business outreach, and increased capacity.
"The D2PA Program is a dynamic tool that is designed to jump-start Governor Corbett''s initiative to spur creativity and innovation and support business development in Pennsylvania," stated C. Alan Walker, Secretary, Department of Community and Economic Development, State of Pennsylvania. "The RE2 project, to prepare specific robotic technologies for manufacturing through a design for manufacturing effort, captures the spirit of the D2PA Program and will help to further the innovative robotic technologies that RE2 delivers."
