Do Division Kicks Off Chicago Summer Street Festival Season
Planned Property Management Invites Residents, Employees to Join Neighborhood Event Convenient to Gold Coast Apartments
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 10/20/14 -- Entering its eighth year, the Do Division Street Fest & Sidewalk Sale occupied 10 city blocks from May 30 to June 1, making it one of Chicago''s largest summer street fairs as well as one of the city''s earliest.
Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 30, Do Division offered three days of arts and crafts, fashion, food, music, and family activities along Division Street from Damen Avenue to Leavitt Street. Events continued from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. A $5 suggested donation benefits the West Town Chamber of Commerce as well as the LaSalle II Magnet School and the A.N. Pritzker School.

Among the highlights of Do Division is the Family Fun Fest, which featured a craft tent, miniature golf, inflatable obstacle courses, a toddler zone, and more. Do Division is also host to plenty of activities for adults, from the Do Fashion Fest to the popular Do Division Sidewalk Sale to a music lineup that includes J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. fame, Los Angeles-based hip-hop duo People Under the Stairs, and Chicago''s own JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound.
