Pune Hotel Celebrates Daan Utsav With Hotel Associates and Guests
Courtyard Pune Chakan Joyfully Partakes in a Variety of Events in Support of Daan Utsav
(firmenpresse) - PUNE, INDIA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/17/14 -- Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan celebrated Daan Utsav, previously named "Joy of Giving" Week, from October 2nd - October 8th, 2014. The festival at the saw both guests and associates participate enthusiastically in acts of philanthropy throughout the week.
This took great efforts towards the awareness and fundraising activities that were organized during the Daan Utsav. Associates were encouraged to donate their old clothes in a Wishing Well towards Maher, a UN-registered NGO for the rehabilitation of women and children. Simultaneously, a Wish Tree was placed in the lobby of the hotel, through which guests and associates could donate clothes and money. Funds raised through the Wish Tree will be donated to Marriott Home (Chennai), an initiative by the Rising Star Outreach that provides accommodation and life skills to children affected with leprosy.
Guests were also encouraged to buy muffins from MoMo 2 Go, the deli which sits inside of the Courtyard Pune Chakan. The proceeds from this sale will be donated to Marriott Home. Daan Utsav culminated with all the hotel associates participating in a Blood Donation Camp conducted by the Chakan Blood Bank, as well.
