AQT Creates a $10 M Fund to Alleviate Long Delays Associated With Government Tax Credits
Established in conjunction with partner FINALTA CAPITAL, the fund eliminates claim processing delays to ensure stable working capital for AQT members
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/16/14 -- The Quebec Technology Association (AQT) has just announced the creation of a tax credit fund, established by FINALTA CAPITAL, in support of its SME members. The creation of this fund will lead to shorter waiting times of refunds for businesses that qualify for tax incentives for scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED), electronic business development (CDAE) and the production of multimedia titles.
AQT''s $10 million tax credit fund is a boon to the businesses that will benefit from it. Each year, businesses in ITC sector are required to invest heavily in development and marketing. Reducing waiting times for receiving tax credits will enable them to plan the actions required to optimize their business operations more effectively, a key factor in their ability to compete.
"AQT''s tax credit fund is a major asset for our Association; it''s a tool for developing and supporting SMEs in ICT sector, many of which endure delays of several months, forcing them to be idle rather than active," said Nicole Martel, AQT''s CEO.
"AQT is made up of businesses that have a long history of success. Thanks to the attractive terms offered by FINALTA CAPITAL, these firms will now achieve new levels of competitiveness by bringing their innovations to market faster," explained Maxime-Jean Gerin, CFA, President and CEO of FINALTA CAPITAL.
