Canadians Can Vote by Mail: Special Ballot Voting Accommodates Electors Who Are Travelling or Living Outside Canada
(firmenpresse) - GATINEAU, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/13/14 -- - Any Canadian elector eligible to vote in the November 17 by-elections in Whitby-Oshawa (Ontario) or Yellowhead (Alberta) may . This means that they can vote by mail or vote in person at their local Elections Canada office.
- Electors should apply as soon as possible. They can , request one by or pick one up at a local Elections Canada office or Canadian diplomatic or consular office.
- Applications to vote by special ballot must be received by the deadline on November 11, 2014:
- Once an application is approved, a special ballot voting kit is issued with instructions and a blank special ballot.
- Marked ballots must be received by the deadline on November 17, 2014:
"Any qualified elector may vote by mail. We encourage Canadians around the world to apply now for their special ballot," says Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Marc Mayrand.
