The report compares the level of economic freedom in 151 countries (and Hong Kong) based on size of government, taxation, rule of law, property rights, regulation and other factors.
"Research shows that people living in countries with high levels of economic freedom enjoy greater prosperity, more political and civil liberties, and longer life spans," said Fred McMahon, Dr. Michael A. Walker Research Chair in Economic Freedom with the Fraser Institute.
