Government of Canada supports the 2015 Campbellton Salmon Festival

The Salmon Festival in Campbellton is an annual celebration that showcases the world-famous salmon heritage of the Restigouche region through rich cultural experiences.
The Government of Canada is providing a total of $19,500 in funding to the Campbellton Salmon Festival du Saumon Committee for its 2015 event.
The Honourable Bernard Valcourt, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development and Member of Parliament (Madawaska-Restigouche), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
From June 29 to July 5, 2015, Campbellton is inviting visitors to the 48th edition of the Campbellton Salmon Festival. Activities include musical performances by local bands, Aboriginal performances, an art exhibition, a poetry reading and demonstrations of local heritage. Those taking part will have the opportunity to admire the work and talent of 295 local artists and artisans and presenters at this event.
