Canadian Utilities & Telecom Income Fund Announces Special Distribution
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/03/14 -- Strathbridge Asset Management Inc., on behalf of Canadian Utilities & Telecom Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX: UTE.UN), is pleased to announce a special distribution of $0.20 per unit for the October distribution date. The special distribution will be payable on October 31, 2014 to unitholders of record on October 15, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of October 10, 2014. The special distribution is due to the continued strong performance of the Fund along with realized capital gains which are expected to exceed the regular monthly distributions for 2014.
Since inception on December 17, 2010 the monthly distributions have increased by 11.2% due to growth in the NAV per unit. In total, the fund has paid distributions of $3.1871 per unit to date and grown the NAV by 11.2% to $12.51 per unit as at October 2, 2014.
The Fund is designed to provide investors with an actively managed investment in the common shares of Canadian utilities and telecommunication issuers while mitigating downside risk and paying monthly cash distributions.
