Pongsak Yingchoncharoen Presents Early Results of the Educational Project Which is Scheduled to Bring Digital Tablets to 9 Million Students in Thailand
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/02/14 -- On October 9, following a presentation by world-renowned educator Howard Gardner and as part of the Distinguished Educators Seminar Series organized by the Faculty of Education of McGill University, Pongsak Yingchoncharoen, Mayor of Yala City Municipality, Thailand, will address a VIP audience composed of leading educators from around the globe. He will discuss the subject of educational innovation in his home province of Yala. The Mayor will highlight the ongoing work undertaken in partnership with Braincloud, a Thai-Canadian organization, responsible for the pedagogical strategy, the tablet design, the software, and the broadband infrastructure. In addition, he will present early results of the educational project which is scheduled to bring digital tablets to 9 million students in Thailand and that is bringing language acquisition skills to students who will surely play roles in the future of the newly-established ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) community. Mr. Yingchoncharoen is a unique individual whose passion and dedication have allowed him to serve his community and education for over the last ten years, this in spite of the challenges he has faced enacting change in a society steeped in tradition and political unrest.
