Governor General Announces the President of the Republic of Finland''s State Visit to Canada
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/01/14 -- Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will welcome His Excellency Sauli Niinisto, President of the Republic of Finland, and his spouse, Mrs. Jenni Haukio, to Rideau Hall, on Thursday, October 9, 2014, on the occasion of their State visit to Canada.
"Sharon and I are truly pleased to welcome President Niinisto and his spouse to Rideau Hall on the occasion of their State visit to Canada," said the Governor General. "I look forward to discussing our strong bilateral relations as well as the furthering of the co-operation between Canada and Finland in the sectors of science, technology, innovation and trade."
