Audience Joins Smart Voice Alliance in China as a Charter Member
ZTE, AutoNavi, Baidu, Nuance, Audience and Other Industry Leaders Band Together to Advance Smart Voice Usage

(NASDAQ: ADNC), a leader in Advanced Voice and pioneer in Multisensory processing and natural user experience technology for consumer devices, today announced that it has joined industry leaders ZTE, AutoNavi, Baidu and Nuance, as well as other companies in the newly formed Smart Voice Alliance in China. This strategic initiative was created to integrate and align existing voice technologies and resources at each stage, including manufacturers of voice control products, content providers, software designers and handset manufacturers. The inaugural summit of the Smart Voice Alliance took place in Beijing on September 24, 2014.
The Smart Voice Alliance is the world''s first voice controlled technology alliance for mobile phones and established the 5A protocol, the first industry-wide formalized code of practice to catalyze the creation of a new era of voice control technology. The 5A protocol is a list of primary goals the Smart Voice Alliance will pursue consisting of:
Individualized personalization features such as voiceprint and user trained key words.
: Multi-control features such as voice wake-up and gesture controls to launch applications.
: Always-on low-power consumption voice wake capabilities.
: Neural network modeling and chaos algorithm.
: Robust noise suppression to enable fluid voice command and clear calling -- regardless of the noise level in the surrounding environment.
