Hair Studio iOS App Allows Users to Transform Their Own Hair in Pictures

Developed by the team at ModiFace, makers of leading virtual beauty apps, Hair Studio gives users the ability to apply realistic hair effects such as reshaping, adding volume, coloring, highlights, lowlights, brushing, and adding shine to their own hair in any photo.
"Hair Studio is a game changer for editing, adjusting, and trying new hair ideas easily on the iPhone or iPad," said Miriam Pettinen, senior director of mobile strategy at ModiFace. "Our focus with Hair Studio was to get the most realistic effects possible that can transform your hair style, color, and hair texture with full realism. To begin, users upload an image or take a new photo and then easily begin to apply different effects to their hair. Free effects include volume, erase, flatten, clone, reshape, shine (which simulates hairspray/gel) and coloring. Premium effects include highlights, lowlights, and filters. All of the effects can be fine-tuned with different brush sizes and opacity sliders, allowing for professional level photo editing right through the app. Once the user is done editing their image it can be saved and shared on a variety of social platforms.
A premium version of the app is available for a one-time fee of $1.99, which includes the premium tools (highlight and lowlight), photo filters, and additional exotic hair colors such as purple, pink, and turquoise.
