MTV's Hit Show Prepares to Enter Its Fourth Season, While ACE Media Clique Completes iTunes-Distributed Film

Awkward, which stars Ashley Rickards, Beau Mirchoff and Jillian Rose Reed, first premiered in July 2011 on MTV. Now in its fourth season, the end of the mid-season finale left tantalized viewers with a shocking cliffhanger that whetted many appetites for more. The American teen comedy series was created by Lauren Iungerich for MTV and focuses on central character Jenna Hamilton (Rickards), a teenager from Palos Verde, California who struggles with her identity -- especially after an accident gets misconstrued as a suicide attempt. By making changes and embracing her misfortune, the character becomes recognizable to her peers via her blog, also dealing with boy troubles throughout the years.
The first season of Awkward, a show which has relied heavily on Hollywood Production Center''s post-production space and , was well-received with television critics boasting of the series'' realism and writing, as well as its central character development. It was included on numerous critics'' top ten lists and also earned several award nominations, winning one Teen Choice Award and one People''s Choice Award.
Hollywood Production Center also announced its involvement in one of ACE Media Clique''s most recent motion pictures, The Republic of Two. The film concentrates on two characters, Tim and Caroline, who fall deeply in love but fear the reality of being a titled couple. The film achieved iTunes distribution on the third of June and has since been well-received; ACE Media Clique''s team captured the dialogue on set and completed all post-production audio work at Hollywood Production Center''s Glendale location.
