NORDEON: VIKING IP65 LED waterproof luminaire - Top efficacy, up to 140 lm/W
(PresseBox) - From now on the production of the new Generation IP65 LED waterproof luminaire takes place in the NORDEON production site in Springe in Germany.

In areas where old luminaires with fluorescent lamps are replaced, the Viking recommends as a highly efficient LED alternative with an energy saving potential of up to 40% and a payback time of only two years. The Viking IP65 LED luminaire is equipped with specially developed, highly efficient lens system. The wide-angle lens optics in combination with a clear cover ensures an optimized light distribution for industrial and parking garages. The opal cover is particularly suitable for comfort lighting with low luminance and brings 10% indirect light to the ceiling. The narrow beam lens optic provides a perfect usability for areas here to be illuminated from great heights. The result is a LED luminaire combining top energy efficiency, up to 140 lm/W, and high lighting comfort with an extraordinary short payback period of only two years.
The Nordeon Viking is of course ENEC 10 VDE certified. In addition, the Viking series is silicone-free and can be used according to the IFS standard in food areas. A D-marking is existing, so the luminaire can be used in fire hazardous areas.
Nordeon uses not only efficient, but also very durable Philips Fortimo LED boards in combination with Philips Xitanium drivers. Along with a specially designed heat management, the failure rate remains remarkably low. The average lifetime of the LEDs is 50,000 burning hours at 30% flux decrease. For this reason, the Nordeon Viking IP65 rightly bears the title of a maintenance free luminaire.
