New Citroen City Car Zips its way into Thames Motor Group
Customisable 2014 Citroen C1 has been enlivened by new styling touches and will be available at the dealership from July
(firmenpresse) - Kent, 24th June 2014 – Thames Motor Group, a specialist new and used Citroen dealer, has announced that it expects its first arrivals of the 2014 Citroen C1 in July after its launch at the Geneva Motor Show. The Citroen city car is the manufacturer’s spin on the trio of vehicles designed in conjunction with Peugeot and Toyota, but the C1 looks to be winning the style battle.
There is no mistaking where Citroen has placed most of its time in revamping the C1; with its refreshed look bringing it into line with the rest of the range. The C1 comes with a style-conscious front end borrowed from the C4 Picasso, LED daytime running lights from the DS3 and a staggering range of customisation options. It comes as a three or five-door with the option for a fabric retractable roof available in red, black or grey.
Despite being longer and offering more practicality; the C1 is 4kg lighter and can get from 0-60mph in eleven seconds. The larger engine of the two offered is the 1.2-litre returning 82bhp, 60mpg and emissions of just 99g/km CO2. It will come with power steering and a tighter turning circle to make this city car even easier to pilot around town. Inside it has a seven-inch touch screen and boosted device connectivity; while the optional extras include air-conditioning, heated seats, keyless entry and a reversing camera.
Kevin Khanna, Thames Motor Group’s Managing Director, believes that the Citroen C1’s refreshed look will see it become one of the most “desirable” Citroen models of all, saying: “The customising options makes Citroen’s city car look like even greater value than previous years and will be a real asset to the Citroen marque moving forward.
We’ll be stocking the latest offers and deals on a new Citroen C1, so I’d advise drivers to get in early as they will fly off the forecourt,” he added.
