RISC-based 3.5? Single Board with ARM Cortex A9 i.MX6 Processor for Multimedia Applications
(PresseBox) - Advantech, a global leader in embedded computing, is glad to announce the launch of the RSB-4410, a RISC-based 3.5? single board computer powered by the Freescale ARM® Cortex?-A9 i.MX6 Dual 1GHz high performance processor that delivers multimedia on a low power platform. RSB-4410 is designed specifically for the Digital Signage and Kiosk applications which need strong multimedia capabilities and software integration services.
Strong multimedia performance and low power consumption
RSB-4410 is powered by the Freescale ARM® Cortex-A9 i.MX6 Dual core processor, with 1GB DDR3 memory and 4GB flash onboard. It has two Image Processing Units (IPU) and 2D, 3D graphics built in, with support for triple independent displays: 1-CH LVDS, VGA and HDMI. Resolutions of up to 1080p high quality video output with low power consumption are available. It also supports Gigabit Ethernet and mini-PCIe slots for WiFi, 3G , HSDPA and an optional module for network connectivity. And for extended function demands, there are 2 x UART and 2 x USB internal connections.
Software support service
RSB-4410 comes bundled with standard Linux V3.0.35 Board Support Package to help customers develop their own applications. Advantech's middleware software is also included such as Linux Signage APIs and SUSI APIs which support watchdog , GPIO , I2C, VGA control and H/W monitor. With these tools, faster software design schedules and times to market are enhanced.
