Water pumps badged with ContiTech name / OEM quality adds to reliability of drive / Customers benefit from faster processing by central contact
(PresseBox) - The ContiTech Power Transmission Group has expanded its competency in the field of water pumps: the company no longer sources the components via a dealer, but rather directly from the manufacturer and awards its own approvals. For this reason, the water pumps in the timing belt kits plus water pump are now ContiTech-badged.
"We are offering one-stop quality and service as usual and thus we take responsibility for the entire contents of our kits," explains René Borries, Product Manager in the ContiTech Power Transmission Group. "Our customers benefit from the fact that they have a central point of contact in us and from prompt order processing."
The timing belt is crucial to the functioning of the engine, and the water pump, for its part, plays a significant role in the trouble-free operation of the engine. The reason for this is that it transports the coolant through the engine's cooling circuit, thereby ensuring the optimal operating temperature. A water pump which is not functioning properly quickly causes huge damage: ranging from an overheating engine to a damaged rotor drive and on to damage to the timing belt which, in the worst-case scenario, could cause engine failure. ContiTech therefore recommends also changing the water pump - if it is driven by the timing belt - when changing the belt and insisting on top quality for this important component. "The water pumps in the timing belt kits plus water pump are in OEM quality and contribute significantly to the reliability of the drive," adds René Borries.
