Intensive cooperation with Intel: TQ-Systems pushes the x86 range
(PresseBox) - TQ-Systems, an E²MS and embedded specialist with its headquarters in Seefeld near Munich, Germany, has strengthened its TQ-Embedded Division for PC-based solutions. As a platinum member of the Intel® Technology Provider Partner program TQ-Systems is working closely with Intel. Specific joint projects are already being planned for the x86 range.
While performing the increased activities on the x86 market in the future, TQ-Systems can draw on a wide range of experience: in recent years the TQ team has already implemented a lot of customer-specific solutions using Intel architecture, in particular at system level. "With its Intel® Core? processors, Intel provides an excellent basis for embedded applications with high demands on computing and graphics performance. With the new Intel® Atom? E3800 family, however, Intel has also set new benchmarks in the low-power segment. This gives us the chance to expand our activities here", explains Harald Maier, TQ Product Manager for the x86 range.
The cooperation with Intel is intensive and is supported by TQ-System's platinum status in the Intel® Technology Provider Partner program, which less than 3% of members in the program have. Martin Engelhardt, Manager of Strategic Sales at Intel, commented: "We are delighted that TQ has been able to achieve the highest level in our Intel® Technology Provider Partner program within just two years of joining. We can rely on them as a strong partner for customer-specific solutions. Made in Germany quality and the technological know-how for even demanding application conditions form the basis for our services in system integration, electronics development and production."
TQ customers benefit from a wide range of advantages: "Due to our technology and systems partnership with Intel, we are able to access data about new technology and training content early and let this technical and strategic know-how flow into our customers' projects. In addition we can quickly clarify special issues in customer projects thanks to the close cooperation with Intel", summarizes Harald Maier.
For 2014 a range of new x86-based solutions are planned, the first of which will be presented at the embedded world.
As an electronics service provider (E²MS supplier and CEM) TQ offers the complete range of services from development, through production and service right up to product life cycle management. The services cover assemblies, equipment and systems including hardware, software and mechanics. Customers can obtain all services from TQ on a modular basis as individual services and also as a complete package according to their individual requirements. Standard products such as finished microcontroller modules (minimodules) and drive solutions complete the range of services.
Through the combination of electronics services and finished system components, TQ offers customer-specific products as ODM products and thereby addresses customers who would like to receive finished products and at the same time benefit from the advantages of a customer-specific solution. ODM products are provided on time and economically using a comprehensive solution kit. The kit includes finished electronic, mechanical and software components including certification and licenses.
The TQ Group employs more than 1,200 colleagues at their sites in Seefeld, Murnau, Peißenberg, Peiting, Durach/Allgäu, Wetter/Ruhr, Chemnitz, Leipzig, Fontaines (Switzerland) and Shanghai (China).
