PG&E Features VIA 2014 Electric Pickup at San Francisco Auto Show
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/02/13 -- featured its new extended range electric pickup truck at the San Francisco Auto Show in cooperation with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). PG&E was the first utility in the nation to implement the ultra clean electric work truck and has been demonstrating VIA's electric trucks in its fleet for three years. PG&E will also be one of the first fleets to take delivery on the 2014 electric VTRUX by VIA Motors.
"The VIA truck was the hit of the show and it generated tremendous excitement here for both fleets and consumers," said Jason King, spokesperson for PG&E. "Being at the auto show gave PG&E an opportunity to show the community how we are electrifying our own service fleet and share information on our new discount rate for charging electric vehicles that can save consumers hundreds of dollars per year over the standard rate," concluded King.
VIA Motors electric pickup trucks also features 240V and 120V outlets on the truck that provide 15 kilowatts of mobile power for emergency or job site applications.
