Throughout 2014, those bearing one of these names can enjoy 2 for 1 main courses in the hotel's award-winning .
Dalmahoy Estate has a long history dating back to King Alexander III but has only had three owners: the Dalmahoy family (around 1265), descendants of Sir Alexander de Dalmahoy; the Dalrymple family, who bought the house around 1720; and the Douglas family, who acquired the house from the Dalrymples around 1760 -- although it is not known how! The house is owned today by the 21st Earl of Morton, a direct descendant of the Douglas family. The heraldic emblazonments of each of these families can still be seen today on the walls of the house. To celebrate this history, Dalmahoy will extend the promotion to those who bear the names of the former owners (Dalmahoy, Douglas and Dalrymple).
The Pentland Restaurant offers traditional Scottish food with a modern twist, cooked by Head Chef James Thomson. It is an AA Rosette award winning restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere in stunning surroundings.
