Vega, the leader in plant-based nutrition, is making strides in the natural foods industry to reduce its environmental impact. After a comprehensive corporate sustainability audit, Vega learned that 71% of its carbon footprint(2) was related to packaging materials. Why? Because like every other company in the industry, most of Vega's products came in bottles made from virgin HDPE - plastic derived from carbon-generating and non-renewable petroleum.
With an to its goal of achieving net zero carbon footprint, Vega's bottles will now be made of 100%( 1) Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content plastic.
