Conference to Explore Innovations, Trends and Applications Designed to Impact Farming Costs and Efficiency
(firmenpresse) - JAMESTOWN, ND -- (Marketwired) -- 11/26/13 -- The and are again co-hosting the third annual , scheduled for Jan. 20-21, 2014, at the North Dakota Farmers Union Conference Center in Jamestown, N.D. The event is an opportunity to learn about trends and practices shaping the industry. And new this year, the conference features two education tracks focusing on crop and livestock management technologies. The tracks will run concurrently on the first day of the conference.
This conference is a major industry event where attendees will receive hands-on experience and valuable education to incorporate precision agriculture into their own farming efforts, which helps improve production from existing resources. Industry experts, producers, practitioners and technology developers will give presentations about technological application and provide demonstrations for successful implementation, which impacts farming costs and efficiency.
While crop management sessions will cover soil variation, crop prescription maps, pesticide application technology and precision animal technologies, the livestock management sessions focus on precision animal technologies, animal tracking and health sensors, genomics and reproduction technologies and robotics and imaging technologies.
The main stage speaking agenda includes panel discussions and demonstrations that will address topics like unmanned aircraft systems in agriculture, the economics of precision agriculture and how new digital technologies like Google Glass are impacting the farming world.
Agriculture producers, researchers, agronomists, crop advisors, ranchers, manufacturers, economic developers and students are encouraged to attend. The event is open to the general public.
Sponsorships also are available at the partner ($3,000), supporter ($1,500) and exhibitor levels ($750). All levels offer varying degrees of exposure, including acknowledgement in advertising and summit materials and an exhibit booth.
