EXTEDO Releases Extended SharePoint 2010 Support

EXTEDO's eCTDmanager is an off-the-shelf electronic submission management solution that satisfies requirements for eCTD, NeeS, eCopy, DMF, ASMF, and many other submission structures. Users can build and review submissions, add, edit and delete elements or even set hyperlinks and comments at any time during the submission compilation.
SharePoint 2010 is Microsoft's application platform for web-based collaboration inside and outside enterprises. With its multipurpose set of web technologies SharePoint can be customized to meet specific business needs. It furthermore provides central management, governance, and security controls for content and information.
With release of the new connector EXTEDO has achieved full interoperability of eCTDmanager and SharePoint. Users of eCTDmanager now can take advantage of SharePoint's document and file management, search, system and process integration, versioning, and workflow automation capabilities. While regulatory activities stay within eCTDmanager, other activities like those related to authoring and workflows can now be integrated into SharePoint. Document lifecycle and version management -- including PDF renditions -- can also be performed in SharePoint and all operations can be tracked in eCTDmanager. When finished, submissions can be exported to and archived in SharePoint. These new functionalities facilitate the process of submission compilation, validation and publishing.
