(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 11/25/13 -- Mortgage Brokers Ottawa/City is very pleased to announce the hiring of Anisa Lancione in the role of Director - Alternate Lending, heading up the private lending arm of Advanced Private Lending, a sister company to Mortgage Brokers Ottawa/City. Ms. Lancione will play a pivotal role in the company's growth and development over the coming years as they aim to become one of Eastern Ontario's premiere private lenders. Anisa will work with internal and external brokers in assisting them with all of their challenging alternate lending deals. In this role, she will facilitate investments in alternative and private mortgages, serving the public and the broker community at large. She will also cultivate relationships with quasi-institutional alternative lenders that fall outside the traditional broker channel.

Before joining APL, Anisa served as Vice-President Operations at Magenta Capital Corporation (MCC). She joined the Magenta team in October 2007 and was promoted to her final position in November 2009. At Magenta, Anisa was responsible for all facets of the mortgage origination function, including building the approved broker network, ongoing revision of the lending program, marketing of lending products to mortgage brokers and other stakeholders, and underwriting. In addition, she had overall responsibility for day-to-day operations, including but not limited to the supervision of the mortgage operations staff, development of underwriting and administrative tools and technologies, and ongoing monitoring and improvements to default management practices. Her role also encompassed the origination, underwriting and administration of construction mortgages.
Prior to her time at Magenta, Anisa co-owned and operated the Assured Mortgages branch in Brockville, Ontario. As a licensed mortgage agent, Anisa specialized in hard-to-place files. Her proven expertise in alternate mortgages, combined with a strong work ethic and her determination to place borrowers in the best mortgage possible, have earned her the continued loyalty of her brokerage clients.
Anisa studied Classics and Economics at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. She is a dedicated mother of two and serves on the board of the Arts Council of the Thousand Islands.
