New Energy Husum starts the call for papers for the international small wind turbine congress
New small wind turbine forum opens for the general public
(firmenpresse) - Husum, 19.11.2013. The call for papers for the World Summit for Small Wind organised by the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and New Energy Husum has started. Experts have until 15 December 2013 to submit the subjects of their talks. The international summit of the small wind turbine industry is being held from 20 to 22 March 2014 parallel to the New Energy Husum trade fair. This year the organisers are introducing a special small wind turbine forum that is open to the general public.
Focus on successful international projects
“After the positive response in recent years, we are pleased that the World Summit for Small Wind 2014 will be taking place in Husum for the fifth time”, says Stefan Gsänger, secretary general of the WWEA. “The small wind turbine congress and the trade fair itself are of international importance for the industry.” 100 congress attendees from 16 nations and 70 exhibitors from small wind turbine businesses will be coming together here to share ideas and experiences.
The focus of the summit will be on a variety of successful industry models and projects, and on the framework conditions needed to achieve such success. The 22 international speakers will be speaking about the legal and financial circumstances, explaining various technologies, and giving an overview of projects and concepts, such as the involvement of local residents. The focus on success stories from all over the world will be illustrating the advantages and impacts that the use of small wind turbines brings with it, using specific examples from various countries and regions.
First small wind turbine visitors’ forum at New Energy Husum
On the third day of the World Summit for Small Wind everything at the Small Wind Turbine Visitors’ Forum revolves around success stories in Germany. The forum, admission to which is free for visitors to the trade fair, is being held for the first time in 2014, and is being organised by New Energy Husum in association with the German Small Wind Turbine Association (BVKW). “We have found that small wind turbines are an important topic for end-users as well”, says Peter Becker, managing director of Messe Husum & Congress. “There is still a great need for information, particularly about planning permission, financing, and the various fields of application. At the visitors’ forum we want to give private individuals the opportunity to find out about practicable concepts that have already been successfully realised”.
