The American Diabetes Association Presents Chair Citation Award to Lil Jon
(firmenpresse) - ALEXANDRIA, VA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/18/13 -- The American Diabetes Association, the nation's largest and leading voluntary health organization in the fight to Stop Diabetes®, presented the Chair Citation Award to rapper, Grammy Award winning record producer, entrepreneur and international DJ, Lil Jon, at the Community Volunteer Leadership Conference that took place this past weekend in Nashville, Tenn.
The National Board of Directors created this award to provide national recognition for local achievement to those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment in their community, and who have had a positive impact in advancing the mission of the American Diabetes Association.
Lil Jon chose the American Diabetes Association as his charity of choice while participating in NBC's "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice." His participation on the television show garnered a $195,000 donation to the American Diabetes Association. Lil Jon's mother passed away from complications of type 2 diabetes shortly after the season finished taping.
