Dr. Lisa Cassileth Elected as the First Female Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cedars-Sinai
(firmenpresse) - BEVERLY HILLS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/18/13 -- Lisa Cassileth, MD, FACS has been elected the first female Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Her tenure begins on January 1st, 2014.
Dr. Cassileth, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, received her medical degree and completed her surgical residency at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. Dr. Cassileth is an assistant clinical professor at UCLA Medical Center and is Director of the plastic surgery graduate medical education program at Cedars Sinai. She specializes in breast reconstruction, breast reconstruction revision, and breast implant revision.
The comprehensive medical program at Cedars-Sinai is internationally renowned, with a reputation for its dedication to excellence. According to an independent study conducted by the National Research Corporation (NRC), Cedars-Sinai has ranked in best overall quality of healthcare for the past 20 years, and its Division of Plastic Surgery is no exception.
Dr. Cassileth has pioneered a technique, created a comprehensive, effective approach for treating capsular contracture, and is dedicated to developing new techniques to improve outcomes and elevate current standards of care. She is currently conducting two research studies through the Western Institutional Review Board (the independent ethics committee for biomedical research), to investigate new methods to treat and correct complex breast conditions.
