Neopost Announce That They have Two Finalists in the Women in Sales Awards 2013
(firmenpresse) - ROMFORD, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 11/14/13 -- is pleased to announce that it has two finalists in the prestigious Women In Sales Awards 2013 - Kelly Wright, Sales Manager, and Karen Goodbrand, Senior Business Manager.
Kelly Wright has been shortlisted in the final five in the Best Woman in Telephone Sales category and Karen Goodbrand has been shortlisted to the final eight in the Best Woman in Field Sales category.
The awards came about from Zars Media's desire to recognize and celebrate working women, especially those in mid to junior management roles, and now Sales has been recognised as a major contributor to accessing C-suite positions. This was confirmed by a report which showed that 62% of women are in positions that provide service and assistance but do not directly generate revenue. These roles very rarely lead to high ranking roles in senior management. In contrast, 65% of men on executive committees hold positions associated with revenue creation. This helps to explain why the number of women CEO's in Fortune 500 companies appears stuck around 3%.
With this in mind the Women In Sales Awards are designed to find and recognise the most exemplary women in sales across Europe, and is created to bring a greater awareness of the benefits of gender diversity in sales and in executive sales leadership teams.
