Highpower International Hosts ACREI 2013 Annual Conference for the Hydrogen Storage Material Branch

(NASDAQ: HPJ), a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) and lithium rechargeable batteries and battery solutions, announced today it hosted the 2013 Annual Conference for the Hydrogen Storage Material Branch of the Association of China Rare Earth Industry (ACREI). The Conference was held in Huizhou, Guangdong Province on November 1-2, 2013 and had more than 60 global industry representatives in attendance.
The theme of this year's Conference focused on the development of China's clean battery energy industry. Discussions at the Conference centered on key technologies to utilize rare earth and hydrogen storage materials for advanced battery applications such as energy storage systems and electrical vehicles as well as how to best integrate industry resources. Following the Conference, attendees visited Highpower's industrial park in Huizhou.

The major mission of ACREI is to promote international cooperation and make contributions to the health and sustainable development of China's rare earth industry.
