W2E connected the new 3.3 technology, again innovative wind power technology, with the grid

The technology has optimized basics for different wind areas because of its huge working surface of the rotor diameter of 120 meters. The turbine generates a sustainable energy output with weak, middle and strong wind speeds.
The wind turbine was been developed by W2E a wind turbine licensee of Rostock. W2E erected the prototype with a hub height of 100 meters on a tubular tower in October 2013 in the north of Germany in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The project is supported by Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety based on a decision of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The commissioning has already been finished. From November this turbine will operate in production mode. The erection of the measurement equipment is expected to be finished in the following days and the measurement campaign will start subsequently.
The certification of the wind turbine technology according GL2010 is already in process. The licensees and project developers foresee a well market placement because of its profitableness.
W2E Wind to Energy GmbH (W2E) develops multi-megawatt class wind power plants. That is, W2E?s specialty is in conceptually designing and developing entire wind turbine systems. W2E select suitable rotor blades, optimize control strategies and specify the design of an appropriate pitch system, drive train, energy conversion system, tower and foundation. Additionally, W2E service includes fully certifying, operating and comprehensively testing the prototype of each new development.
The result of the highly specialized design is offered to international customers as licenses. W2E deliver this product as a comprehensive set of documents which enable the licencee to manufacture, install, commission and maintain the wind power plant. Documentation comprises all calculations, proofs, certificates, part lists, specifications, descriptions and drawings, including training documents. All of our documentation complies with an established quality-assurance system.
W2E Wind to Energy GmbH was founded in May in 2003. The number of employees is 30. A subsidiary was established in canada. W2E has customer relationsships to germany, france, ukraine, kazakhstan, china, india and america. The product portfolio offers turbine plattforms for 1.3 MW, 2.0 MW, 2.5 MW and 3.x MW.
