This confirmation is made in light of a telecommunications company's recent decision to modify its privacy policy to allow for the collection of data on its users' TV and web habits and telephone pattern, a decision which has provoked recent outrage by Canadian consumers and consumer associations, among others.
"Cogeco shares their concerns with regard to the usage of personal data. Cogeco does not publicly disclose or sell data on its customers' behavior patterns identified through their network usage.
