Online business permit and licence service saves time, cuts paperwork and helps entrepreneurs
(firmenpresse) - CRANBROOK, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/23/13 -- Starting and running a business in Cranbrook just became easier thanks to BizPaL, an online business permit and licence service that saves time spent on paperwork and helps entrepreneurs start up faster.
Today, Mr. David Wilks, Member of Parliament for Kootenay-Columbia, on behalf of the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism), together with the Honourable Naomi Yamamoto, B.C.'s Minister of State for Tourism and Small Business, and His Worship Wayne Stetski, Mayor of Cranbrook, welcome the launch of BizPaL in the city of Cranbrook.
"The Government of Canada is committed to helping entrepreneurs by reducing the burden of red tape through the online BizPaL service, which makes it easier to find information about the permits and licences they need," said Mr. Wilks. "BizPaL will enable Cranbrook entrepreneurs to spend more time building their businesses, creating jobs and contributing to Canada's economic growth."
BizPaL is an innovative service that provides entrepreneurs with simplified access to information on the permits and licences they need to establish and run their businesses. This unique partnership among federal, provincial, territorial and municipal governments is designed to cut through the paperwork burden and red tape that small business owners encounter. The BizPaL service in Cranbrook was developed by the City, the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada.
"Small businesses are one of the key economic engines of the province, and we need to ensure they have the support they need to succeed and grow," said Minister of State Yamamoto. "BizPaL is just one of many programs that help cut red tape and make it easier to do business here in B.C."
"We want Cranbrook to be known as a welcoming place for businesses to establish and grow," said Mayor Stetski. "Partnering with the federal and provincial governments through BizPaL is an important step in reducing barriers to business in our community."
