(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/23/13 -- Further to the ministerial statement on Bill 99 tabled in the National Assembly by the Marois Government, the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, made the following comments:
"The federal government did not initiate these proceedings. No one wants another referendum. It is completely normal for the federal government to defend Canadian law. As this case is before the courts, we will make no further comment."
