(TSX: DD), a world leader in providing wireless data solutions for fleet management for more than 25 years, announced today that its Taxi business unit, Digital Dispatch, has signed a contract with Yellow Cab of DC for the deployment of 400 backseat payment system and passenger information monitors. These monitors support mobile commerce and media applications.
"I continue to be encouraged with the progress of our strategy to penetrate the backseat of taxi cabs in North America," said Vari Ghai, CEO of DDS. "Adding to our recent contract win with Signature Cab of Hawaii, the deployment of these units will bring us to a total of approximately 2,500 units deployed in the backseat by the end of fiscal 2013."
