(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/23/13 -- It is with great pride that Le Journal de Montreal acknowledges the results of the 2012/13 NADbank survey, which measured the readership levels of the main daily newspapers across the country from fall 2012 to spring 2013. Once again, survey results show that Le Journal de Montreal is still Quebec's most widely read newspaper - 7 days a week! Le Journal de Montreal now attracts 1,176,200 readers a week, which is 328,400 more readers than La Presse, a solid 39% lead. Le Journal de Montreal draws 39,700 more readers per week than in the previous survey conducted last fall (a 4% increase), while its main competitor has seen its readership drop by 5,700(1).

An even more eye-catching and appealing newspaper!

These outstanding results don't factor in the recent upgrades made to Le Journal de Montreal since October 1. With its new logo, graphic design style, enhanced content, and new signature line, Le journal qu'on aime lire ("the paper people like to read"), Le Journal de Montreal is even more appealing and reader-friendly than ever. As part of the new-look Le Journal de Montreal, the daily has launched JM, its new detachable supplement featuring new and captivating theme-based content every day of the week: Health (Monday), Vacations (Tuesday), Fashion (Wednesday), Flavours (Thursday), Out on the town (Friday), Tech (Saturday) and Books (Sunday). A new section devoted to world news, a new page dedicated to money matters, and a host of new columnists featuring wide-ranging opinion round off the latest upgrade to Le Journal de Montreal.

"We're extremely pleased with these tremendous results that clearly show the pride of place that Le Journal de Montreal enjoys among people in Quebec in their daily lives. The launch of the paper's new look a couple of weeks ago is the result of the work and vision of a team that is driven to provide readers with the most comprehensive and enjoyable paper to read in all of Quebec, as our new tagline - Le journal qu'on aime lire or the paper people like to read - clearly states," says Lyne Robitaille, President and Publisher of Le Journal de Montreal.

Le Journal de Montreal wishes to thank its loyal readers and valued advertisers for making it the Number 1 newspaper in Quebec - for over 27 years! Le Journal de Montreal truly is the paper people like to read!
