Canadians Can Vote by Mail: Special Ballot Voting Accommodates Electors Who Are Travelling or Temporarily Living Outside Canada
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/22/13 -- - Any Canadian elector whose home address is in Bourassa (Quebec), Brandon-Souris (Manitoba), Provencher (Manitoba) or Toronto Centre (Ontario) can vote by . This means that they can vote by mail, or vote in person at their local Elections Canada office.
- Electors should apply as soon as possible. They can , request one by phone, or pick one up at a local Elections Canada office or Canadian diplomatic or consular office.
- Applications to vote by special ballot must be received by the deadline on November 19, 2013:
- at any local Elections Canada office by 6:00 p.m. local time, or
- at Elections Canada in Ottawa by 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
- Once we approve an application, we issue a special ballot voting kit with instructions and a blank special ballot.
- Marked ballots must be received by the deadline on November 25, 2013:
- for electors voting inside their electoral district: at their local Elections Canada office by the time polls close locally
- for electors voting outside their electoral district: at Elections Canada in Ottawa by 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
