Based on a report by Gartner, the market is validating that enterprises are increasingly deploying solutions that provide unified user experiences across all devices. The report confirms enterprises spent $17.5 billion on unified communications infrastructure (UC) in 2012, including key sectors where CounterPath Bria plays, such as telephony, video infrastructure, and unified messaging. CounterPath is also putting the final touches on a brand new screen sharing feature. Screen sharing, or desktop sharing, is becoming an increasingly important collaboration tool for business. The screen sharing feature within the Bria desktop client will allow business users to share their screen with another participant or an entire group with just one click. The invitation can be sent via IM, email, Twitter, Facebook or Clipboard, and the screen sharing session is highly secure and fully automated.
Also coming soon is a new Bria Add-in for Outlook which integrates the Bria softphone directly into users' Outlook workspace. With a streamlined user interface, the plug-in allows business users to call and message contacts, see contacts' presence and access voicemail all within their Outlook window, greatly increasing the speed and efficiency with which business users can communicate.
