CGA-Canada Honours Academic Excellence with Awards
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA and OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/17/13 -- The Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA-Canada) is proud to recognize four students in the CGA program and 11 newly certified CGAs for outstanding academic achievement in 2012-13. Each year, the association recognizes exceptional academic performance by awarding the CGA-Canada Awards of Excellence, the ENCON Group Inc. Insurance Public Practice Award, the Porter Hetu International Award and the Top Ten Recognition Awards.

Awards of Excellence are presented to the highest academic achievers in each level of the CGA program. This year's recipients are: Level 1, Chris Kempan (Man.); Level 2, Andrea Beaudin (Man.); Level 3, Benjamin Hart Moull (Ont.); Level 4, Marsha Ann MacLean (Ont.); and Certification Level, Deborah Camille Fountain (N.S.).
The Top Ten Recognition Awards honour newly certified members who rank as the leading performers across the association based on the average of their PACE Level examinations. This year's recipients are: Maria Ada Ethel Vallance (Alta.); Ryan Castaneda (B.C.); Jing Yan (Judy) Li (Alta.); Deborah Camille Fountain (N.S.); Yan Wang (B.C.); Marco Jotic (Ont.); Litao Liu (Ont.); Natalia Tishina (Alta.); Attaul Awal Hamid (Ont.); and Wendy Grace Howell (B.C.).
Mr. Jotic is also the recipient of this year's ENCON Group Inc. Insurance Public Practice Award, worth $5,000, having achieved the highest average mark in the public practice career option. Jaime Aicken from Alberta captured the Porter Hetu International Award, worth $1,500.
