NYER's Small Business Awards Recognizes Dr. Terry Neese for Social Entrepreneurship
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 10/17/13 -- The (IEEW), a nonprofit empowering women worldwide economically, socially and politically, today announced that Dr. Terry Neese has been awarded the prestigious 2013 Founder's Award for Social Entrepreneurship by (NYER). Taking place in New York City, the 2013 Small Business Awards Gala highlighted the accomplishments and achievements of the IEEW Founder and CEO.
"The Institute and our hallmark program, , is honored to be recognized for our work around the world by such an outstanding organization as The New York Enterprise Report," said Dr. Neese. "This award is a highlight in our eight year history, but it is the Afghan and Rwandan women who have graduated from our program who are the heroes, or as we like to call them, sheroes."
Through the program, Dr. Neese helps women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan and Rwanda start and build businesses. The program provides mentorship and empowers women to become change agents for progress in their countries where women face oppression and marginalization.
