Photographer/Director Walid Azami Nominated for "Video of the Year" at 2013 Soul Train Awards

The photographer/director, known for his collaborations with some of music's biggest names, beautifully directed the stunning black and white visuals on "Love and War" video, very reminiscent of Herb Ritts' directions for Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and Madonna's "Cherish."
This is the first Soul Train Award nomination for Walid Azami, who competes against the directors of Robin Thicke and Pharrell's "Blurred Lines" (Diane Martel), Chris Brown's "Fine China" (Chris Brown, Sylvain White), Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice" (The Lil Home, Dave Free, and Dangerookipawaa), Janelle Monae's "Q.U.E.E.N." (Alan Ferguson), and Drake's "Started from the Bottom" (Director X), for this year's award.
