Life Sciences Ontario and Rx&D Join Forces to Strengthen Canada's Life Sciences Sector
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/10/13 -- Life Sciences Ontario (LSO) and Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D) have announced an exciting new joint membership initiative for emerging biopharmaceutical companies and associated stakeholders in Ontario. In an effort to enhance networking opportunities and develop partnerships that will lead to the discovery of the next generation of life-saving therapies, qualifying LSO Core Life Sciences members that do not yet generate revenue from product sales and royalties in Canada, and Clinical/Contract Research Organization (CRO) members of LSO, are invited to join Rx&D through a joint membership initiative.
"Our members - including the emerging biopharmaceutical companies and clinical/contract research organizations - play a critical role in the R&D ecosystem," said LSO Executive Director Jason Field on the occasion of the announcement. "They share a common interest in the development and commercialization of innovative medicines and vaccines. This membership opportunity is a great step in connecting the two organizations as we work to make Canada the ideal destination for life science R&D investments."
This join initiative provides an opportunity for life science entrepreneurs to benefit from expertise across the broader industry including:
