The P2 Art Alliance Uses a Portion of Every Gallery Sale to Donate Supplies for Art Education
(firmenpresse) - WINTER PARK, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 10/08/13 -- Online art site, P-Squared Gallery, is partnering with schools and non-profit organizations to provide art supplies and equipment to programs in Latin America and the U.S. Through the gallery's P2 Art Alliance program, proceeds from each sale are used to purchase items such as cameras, scanners, computers and software which are then donated to organizations that employ art for social change.
"When art lovers purchase prints from P-Squared Gallery they are not only supporting working artists, they are also contributing to a process of change in the life of a child," said Patricia Prevatt, founder of P-Squared Gallery. "Giving kids the opportunity to experience and create art offers them an outlet of expression they may not have yet had in their lives; it's empowering and can alter how they see themselves and the world around them."
Cameras and memory cards were recently donated to Las Fotos Project in Los Angeles, California and Fundación ph15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Both community based projects introduce vulnerable youth to the transformative power of art. By providing instruction, mentoring, workspace and equipment, they work to foster creativity and self-confidence.
