Nice Cote d'Azur Airport in France Selects Morpho's CTX 9800 EDS for Hold Baggage Screening
High-Speed Explosives Detection Systems to Enhance Passenger Checked Baggage Screening Capabilities
(firmenpresse) - PARIS, FRANCE -- (Marketwired) -- 10/08/13 -- , through its subsidiary Morpho Detection, Inc., today announced that Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport in Nice, France has purchased four high-speed CTX 9800 DSi™ explosives detection systems (EDS) to screen hold baggage.
As a result, the airport will become the first in the continental E.U. to screen all passenger checked baggage -- referred to as Level 1 screening -- with an advanced EDS. Under terms of the agreement, delivery of the systems will begin this year with all units scheduled to be online by early 2014.

Morpho Detection's CTX™ family of EDS use advanced Computed Tomography (CT) technology to screen checked baggage. Capable of screening more than 1,000 bags per hour (BPH), the high-speed CTX 9800 enhances operational efficiencies by screening bags faster and with fewer false alarms. The CTX 9800 is certified by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and approved by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) as meeting E.U. Standard 3 requirements.
