The Fraser Institute/Media Advisory: New Book to Be Released Tuesday October 8 Examines Impacts of Waiting for Health Care
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/07/13 -- The Fraser Institute will release a new book Tuesday October 8 that explores the various policy-related issues associated with waiting lists for health care services in Canada.
The book, Reducing Wait Times for Health Care: What Canada Can Learn From Theory and International Experience, looks at how wait times are measured, the effect waiting for health care has on patients and the economy, and the inefficiencies inherent in rationing health care.
Authors include Dr. Brian Day, orthopaedic surgeon and former CMA president, Steven Globerman, Kaiser Professor of International Business at Western Washington University, David Henderson, associate professor of economics at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and Nadeem Esmail, Fraser Institute director of health policy research.
