Minister Blaney Commends the Canada Border Services Agency on Significant Tobacco Seizures
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/04/13 -- The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, today recognized Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for two separate loose leaf tobacco seizures worth over $3.5 million at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Ontario.
"I commend the CBSA officers whose vigilance and dedication led to these seizures. Our government has been clear that the trafficking of illegal goods into Canada will not be tolerated. It perpetuates criminal activity and puts Canadians and their communities at risk. We will continue to ensure that those protecting our borders have the necessary tools to stop the flow of illegal goods into our country, and keep our streets safe."
