Swinerton Builders Sacramento Proudly Partners With Rebuilding Together
(firmenpresse) - SACRAMENTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/30/13 -- teamed up with community volunteers Saturday to repair a local home during annual "Rebuild Day." As a house sponsor for the event, Swinerton organized volunteer labor, donated $5,000 through (the company's nonprofit arm), and provided work-in-kind to repair a Meadowview area home. The homeowners -- a disabled US Army veteran and his wife of 37 years -- both struggle with chronic health issues that were exacerbated by a leaky roof and drafty windows.
The Rebuilding Together volunteer team, made up of 21 Swinerton employees along with their families, students, and other community members, repaired the roof and windows to help protect the owners' health and reduce their energy expenses. Volunteers also installed new kitchen appliances and flooring, repaired a broken fence, gave the house exterior a fresh coat of paint, and replaced an unstable wood deck with a sturdy concrete patio. division donated materials and guidance on concrete grading and placement.
"Our company has been building for 125 years. But if we can spend one day donating our time and dollars to make a huge difference in a family's life, that's an easy decision for us," said Alan Wolf, Division Manager of .
