Michael Pollan & Chez Panisse Team Up to Support New York City Non-Profit, Just Food
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 09/26/13 -- A once-in-a-lifetime auction package, featuring lunch with best-selling author and sustainable food advocate Michael Pollan, is now up for bidding on Charitybuzz.com to benefit , a non-profit organization that connects NYC communities with local farms and local food. The winner and two guests will dine with Pollan at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, which is well-known for using local, organic foods, and is a restaurant that Michael himself frequents. Chez Panisse has generously donated lunch for Michael Pollan and the lucky winner.
This package is one of many unique foodie experiences and related items up for auction to benefit Just Food. The auction, which is part of Just Food's sixth annual "Let Us Eat Local" tasting benefit offering tastings from New York's finest restaurants and artisan producers, is now live on Charitybuzz.com, the leading destination for online charity auctions. Proceeds from both the event and auction support Just Food's mission and programs.
Bidding will be available online from September 25 at 9AM EDT through October 16 at 3PM EDT, and Charitybuzz.com staff will be on hand to assist with bidding during the benefit. Additional auction highlights include:
