From love and passion for diets and cooking. Being an amateur dietician myself, I am not able to look after what people in general eat. Other than that, since the earliest days my parents instilled the concept of healthy eating in my heads. Good nutrition is one of the best long-term investments, particularly when combined with healthy lifestyle. The moment the slow food popularity burst, I knew it was the right thing and time for me and my diet catering idea to finally come into being.
Is that why you launched e-diet catering service?
I have always been following the latest diet trends, and so I noticed very quickly the point in time where the Polish media started to bombard the public opinion with the terrifying statistics on Poland's getting overweight , issuing a call for action. Out of a sudden, I realized that I had to do something about that myself, but on a larger scale than ever before. When I read that Polish women are in the 9th place in the European obesity statistics, I feel that immediate steps are necessary to take. And why e-diet-catering service? Well, most businesses and individuals have already migrated to the Web, a good diet is the one easy to get - through the web or by phone.
How much time did you spend on it?
I have to admit that I had an incredible amount of luck back then. Apart from the expertise - both mine and my colleagues - it's often sheer fate that decides about business success. This is not to say, though, it was easy. When I was creating Wygodnadieta.pl, me and my team had so many sleepless nights... But bringing the idea of diet catering was wort every sleepless night and every stressful day.
Who is the target? Mostly women probably, but how about males?
It's becoming increasingly popular among men to use diet catering. They get more aware of their weight and health. And this is not only due to their focus on looking better or shedding a few kilos. Many a time they simply want to get used to a healthy eating patterns.
Is that type of diet popular in Poland?
People are growing more conscious of their health and bodies. At the same time, their daily life is so hectic that they are not able to shop and prepare healthy meals. This is why they turn to diet catering where the food gets delivered right to their door. In Warsaw, Polish capital, it has been a success.
