Aito BV and EBV Elektronik, an Avnet Company, sign a Software License Agreement
(PresseBox) - Rene De Vries, CEO of Aito said "Aito delivers the best user experience available for touch input and haptic feedback across multiple surfaces. This agreement with EBV gives Aito an exponential growth in our addressable market. With the help of EBV skilled sales force, we intend to expand our market share rapidly."
"We are delighted to offer our customers a new seamless human machine interface working with any materials including metal! On top, Haptic feedback capability will deliver a similar feeling experience than traditional buttons and even more", said Thomas Staudinger, VP Vertical Segments at EBV.
Aito, delivers a next generation experience for touch input and haptic feedback, combining not only the aesthetic benefits of a touch interface through metal, glass, ceramic, wood, plastic, etc. but also delivering a lower cost and more environmentally friendly manufacturing process, and a streamlined, lower cost after-market service offering.
Aito's market leading technology has already been seen in high-end products from Loewe, Russell Hobbs, and Philips.
In addition to today's agreement with EBV, Aito has also announced the launch of the more cost-efficient ATB212 and ATH222 products. Based on the well-known ultra-low power MSP430(TM) microcontroller family from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), the ATB212 and ATH222 will spearhead Aito's entry into the low to mid-range market. The new chips' enhanced functionality and lower costs make them ideal for the Home Appliance, Consumer Electronic, and PC Peripheral market.
